Rychetnik With more than 30 years of experience, Steve Rychetnik is the sole Alaska-based Director of Photography member of IATSE Local 600, the International Cinematographers Guild, and the only local cinematographer who is selected to shoot the major feature films shot in the state. Rychetnik’s work spans commercial shoots on primeval glaciers to run-and-gun shoots embedded with the U.S. Army Special Forces training operations. Jessica Stugelmayer Jessica Stugelmayer is a James Beard award-nominated multimedia journalist and editor based in Anchorage, Alaska. During the day, she’s the director of marketing and promotions for Alaska Public Media. She has been a copywriter, a drive-time radio news anchor and a general assignment reporter.Her work has been published on KTVA.com and in the Anchorage Press, among others. In her free time, she enjoys getting lost in the woods, experimenting in the kitchen and attempting to sample every kind of gin ever made. Ken Fankhauser Ken Fankhauser has been a full-time freelance filmmaker for five years after spending 14 years in the television/news market. Fankhauser has worked on numerous film projects but says the Alaska projects are always the best. He has held positions from PA to Director of Photography. His most recent project was as a videographer for the Iditarod covering a 1,000-plus mile dog race through Alaska in mixed conditions. Fankhauser is a “jack of many trades” like many Alaskan filmmakers. He currently lives in Portland, Oregon. Steve Stripling Like many filmmakers, Steve Stripling grew up making home movies and recording fun projects with friends. He followed that passion and graduated from San Francisco State University’s Creative Arts department before returning to Anchorage. Since then, he has spent over 30 years in the advertising/broadcast industry. Steve and co-host Mike Ford are big fans of Alaska filmmakers and can be heard Saturday mornings on the Big Alaska Show on KFQD 103.7 FM, 750 AM.
